Mr. Ochaya James Okumu

Mr. Ochaya James Okumu is a dedicated professional serving as the General Secretary of the Board of Directors at the Consortium of Rural Women for Agribusiness Development Organization (CORWADO). He joined the organization in November 2022 and has since played a key role in strengthening governance, coordination, and strategic oversight of Board activities, contributing to the effective functioning, transparency, and accountability of the organization. He holds a background in Industrial Chemistry, bringing strong analytical, problem-solving, and evidence-based decision-making skills to his role. As General Secretary, Mr. Ochaya is responsible for facilitating effective communication within the Board, maintaining accurate records and documentation, and supporting governance processes that guide CORWADO’s strategic direction.
