About Ms.
Ms. Aber Salome Cosmas joined CORWADO in 2022 as a member of the Board of Directors, where she serves as Board Treasurer. In this role, she provides strategic oversight and contributes to governance and financial stewardship, supporting CORWADO’s mission to strengthen community resilience and advance sustainable, community-led development.
Aber Salome Cosmas is a dedicated and experienced Senior Midwife with over five years of hands-on experience in maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH) across humanitarian and development settings in South Sudan. She brings strong expertise in reproductive health, emergency obstetric care, family planning, and clinical service delivery, alongside experience in health programme implementation, community health, WASH, and emergency response to disease outbreaks including COVID-19, Ebola, cholera, and malaria. Throughout her career, she has worked with leading international organizations such as the International Rescue Committee (IRC), BRAC, Save the Children, and CCM/Amref, where she has led RMNCH service delivery, strengthened the capacity of health workers, and contributed to health cluster coordination and community-based programming. Known for her compassionate and patient-centered approach, she performs effectively in high-pressure environments and remains committed to improving health outcomes for women, children, and vulnerable communities.
