CORWADO Strengthens Strategic Direction, Governance and Institutional Growth Through Board and Leadership Review.

CORWADO’s Board of Directors/Trustees, organizational leadership and Senior Management Team convened on 04TH October 2026 for a Strategic Board and Leadership Review Workshop focused on programme strategy, governance, institutional performance, accountability, partnerships, resource mobilization and sustainable organizational growth.

On 04th October 2026, the Consortium of Rural Women for Agribusiness Development Organization (CORWADO) convened its Strategic Board and Leadership Review Workshop, bringing together the Board of Directors/Trustees, organizational leadership, and Senior Management Team for strategic reflection, institutional performance review, and collective decision-making.

The workshop provided an important platform to review and strengthen CORWADO’s Programme Strategy, core thematic outcomes, and strategic priorities, ensuring that the organization remains responsive to the evolving humanitarian, development, economic, climate, and resilience needs of the communities it serves.

A central focus was strengthening alignment between governance, leadership, programme strategy, operations, and institutional systems. The Board and management reviewed organizational structures and accountability lines, programme performance, financial management and compliance, risk management, programme quality, and opportunities for improving institutional effectiveness.

The CPO/COO and Acting CEO presented CORWADO’s Programme Strategy, strategic direction, and key operational priorities, highlighting priorities for institutional strengthening and sustainable growth. Discussions emphasized that the expansion of programmes, partnerships, and organizational reach must be supported by strong governance, capable teams, sound financial stewardship, effective systems, and measurable results.

The workshop also reviewed business development, strategic partnerships, and resource mobilization, with particular attention to strengthening donor engagement, partnership development, programme design, organizational visibility, and diversification of CORWADO’s resource base.

Equally important was strengthening teamwork and collaboration between the Board, leadership, and management. Open dialogue and collective reflection reinforced a shared understanding of organizational priorities and a culture of shared leadership, responsibility, accountability, and commitment to results.

As CORWADO continues to strengthen its institutional capacity and programme footprint, the organization remains committed to building a women-led, locally rooted, professionally governed, accountable, and community-responsive institution capable of translating community priorities into sustainable social and economic impact.

The workshop reaffirmed a fundamental institutional principle: sustainable growth must go hand in hand with strong governance, accountable leadership, capable teams, sound systems, strategic partnerships, and measurable impact for the communities we serve.

(Stronger Governance. Stronger Teams. Sustainable Growth. Greater Impact).
